Inspirational Service Lived Up to its Name

It didn't take long for everyone to understand that the Saturday morning inspirational service was going to be just that:  inspirational.

Under the direction of Kenneth Haney, the service continued to lift the spirits of those attending and watching.  The main focus was on those affected by the tsunami in Asia and the hurricanes in the United States.

An offering was received and pledges were made totaling thousands of dollars to help the victims of these disasters.  Lynden Shalm gave testimony of the great miracles God wrought through and during the Asian tsunami.  District superintendents Kevin Cox and James Carney shared both stories and testimonies of God's hand in the midst of the hurricanes.

Several pastors and churches pledged, not only money, but also time.  And materials.  And labor.  "We will rebuild" was the overarching theme of today's service.

Jesse Williams spoke for just a few minutes as the Holy Ghost continued to inspire.  Only to be capped off by a young person being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
