MINISTERS BUSINESS MEETING RESULTS:

THURSDAY'S Business - FRIDAY'S Business - Elected Positions

THURSDAY, September 27, 2007 (Eastern Standard Time, Tampa Florida)

The results of the ministers business session will be available shortly after the elections take place. We will periodically keep you updated as the results come in. (IT Department)

9:00 AM The meeting is opened by General Superintendent, Kenneth F. Haney.
9:20 AM General Secretary, Jerry Jones, reads the minutes of the previous General Conference.
10:10 AM General Superintendent, Kenneth F. Haney gave his annual report.
10:20 AM Ballots are passed out.
10:25 AM General Secretaries report.
10:35 AM Discussion regarding voting and processes begins.
10:50 AM Ballot process is continues to be discussed and explained. A motion is made to count the voters before voting begins. Defeated
10:55 AM Bro. Mooney begins the Election of the General Superintendent. Bro. Jerry Jones is called to lead in prayer before the voting officially begins.
11:00 AM Nomination Ballots for General Superintendent are collected.
11:05 AM The start of nominations for General Youth Division President.
11:05 AM The voters are working on ballots 8-15. Ladies Ministries President, Regional Executive Presbyters, Ministers Appeals Counsel.
11:15 AM As the votes are being counted, the ministers are listening to divisional presentations and reports.
11:30 AM Kenneth F. Haney was elected as our General Superintendent and gives his acceptance and presents a new initiative called "Global Impact". A mission to grow the United Pentecostal Church International.
11:45 AM Anthony Mangan speaks regarding Global Impact.
12:00 PM Bruce Howell speaks regarding Global Impact and how it will impact the World Missions
12:05 PM Jack Cunningham speaks regarding Global Impact regarding special prayer and fasting in all of our districts.
12:08 PM Jack Cunningham calls Mark Foster to speak regarding Global Impact and how it will impact families.
12:14 PM Jack Cunningham comes again to talk about getting 20,000 world changers to teach 1,000,000 bibles studies taught world wide in 1 year. And a challenge is issued to every pastor and church to grow by 7% every year. So, that in 10 years we will have doubled our constituency.
12:20 PM Kenneth F. Haney returns to the podium to encourage everyone to back this Global Impact and calls for a prayer of unity. The sound of earnest prayer has filled the ballroom here at Tampa Convention Center.
12:28 PM Steven Drury is called by Kenneth Haney to come and speak to the ministers regarding Stewardship.
12:30 PM Mike Williams, Men's Ministry Director, is called by Kenneth Haney to speak regarding Men's Ministry.
12:34 PM Assistant Superintendent, Randy Keyes is called to address the General Conference and accept his reelection as Assistant General Superintendent..
12:36 PM Dan Batchelor, Education Director, is called to speak regarding the Education Division.
12:40 PM Ken Gurley, Division of Education Board Member, speaks to the General Conference Ministerial body regarding "Filling these shoes". A short video clip was shown to inspire the ministers to find young men and women to fill the shoes of great leaders who have gone before us.
12:45 PM Carlton Coon, Home Missions Director, is called to address the General Conference.
12:46 PM David Bernard is called to speak regarding Urshan Graduate School of Theology.
12:50 PM Paul Mooney is announced as the Assistant General Superintendent. And he comes forward to accept. Three names are brought for the General Youth President. Shay Mann, Joel Urshan, and Wayne Francis. Wayne Francis declined because he has not been Ordained for at least a year.
1:00 PM Bruce Howell is elected as General Foreign Missions Director and gives his acceptance speech.
1:05 PM Carlton Coon is elected as General Home Missions Director and he gives his acceptance speech.
1:10 PM Gary Erickson is elected General Sunday School Division Director and gives his acceptance speech.
1:15 PM Shay Mann is elected as General Youth Division President and gives his acceptance speech.
1:20 PM With the election of Shay Mann the vacancy of Youth Secretary must be filled so ballots are being distributed to accept nominations for Youth Secretary.
1:25 PM Gwen Oakes has been elected as our Ladies Ministries President.
1:28 PM David Bernard has been elected as Regional Executive Presbyter of the Western Zone
1:28 PM Mark Jordan has been elected the Regional Executive Presbyter of the Eastern Zone.
1:29 PM James Blackshear has been elected the Regional Executive Presbyter of the Northwest Zone
1:29 PM Marrell Cornwell has been elected as the Regional Executive Presbyter of the North Central Zone
1:30 PM Robert Fuller is ratified as the Editor in Chief

1:50 PM Three names have been given regarding General Youth Secretary, Joel Urshan, Daryle Williams, and Greg Bowman. Joel Urshan withdrew his name.
2:00 PM Business meeting adjourned to continue tomorrow

8:00 AM Prayer and Devotion begins with worship singing.
8:34 AM C. M. Becton is giving devotion to the ministers that have arrived early for devotion.
8:50 AM The voices of our ministers fill the room as they all join in prayer together.
9:15 AM Kenneth F. Haney calls the meeting to order and addresses the conference.
9:20 AM Roster committee submits names to the conference.
9:23 AM Brian Kinsey reads resolution 1.
9:25 AM Resolution 1 - Passed
9:31 AM Brian Kinsey reads resolution 2.
9:38 AM Resolution 2 - Defeated
9:39 AM Resolution 3 is read by Brian Kinsey.
9:55 AM After much discussion an amendment was offered but defeated.
9:58 AM The oral vote is too close and a standing count must be used to determine the outcome.
10:10 AM Resolution 3 - Passed
10:13 AM Brian Kinsey reads resolution 4.
10:55 AM The author of the resolution offers an amendment to the resolution. The amendment was defeated.
10:59 AM Ballots are being passed out now to vote for Resolution 4.
11:30 AM Various divisional leaders are speaking and giving promotional presentations to fill the time while the vote is being counted.
11:35 AM Resolution 4 - Passed
