Applause flowed like water for the many awards handed out during the Sunday School service. Each year, the Sunday School Division announces the Director of the Year and this year, six very deserving directors received due recognition from the Conference.
5th Runner Up was Mark Cheverie from the Ontario District
4th was Michael Noel from the Atlantic District
3rd was Linda Smith from the Nova Scotia District
2nd was Steve Cannon from the Mississippi District
1st was Travis Grimsley from the Tennessee District
And the 2008 Director of the Year was Ward Rehbein from the Wisconsin District. We congratulate all the winners and thank them for their selfless service all year long.
In addition to our heroes on a district level, we honor our teachers on a local level. This year's "Teacher of the Year" was 28 year-long teacher, Becky Taylor from the Alabama District.
We were blessed by the "Little Saints" choir as well as the Temple of Pentecost Sanctuary Choir from Raleigh, North Carolina. Immediately following the choir, the pastor from the Temple of Pentecost, Wayne Huntley came to the pulpit to deliver his heart to the Conference.
Brother Huntley preached "Why some Pentecostal Children Won't be Saved". 'Twas a stirring message from the heart of God through the heart of Brother Huntley. The awards, the choirs, the message all worked in tandem to produce "by far the best service."
